Clarity: Day 4

Today’s email focuses on *emotions* which is perfect because I literally have to manage my emotions to take this many capsules at one time. (lowercase lol).

Pills etc were impossible for me until my teen years; they are still not easy to swallow (You’re here for the Dad jokes, right? 😉 ). This was unfortunate because I had scarlet fever as a kiddo which led to strep throat almost every fall & spring (plus lung infections/mono etc). Have you ever taken liquid penicillin? It is disgussssssssting.

Over the years, I’ve learned to lean into my breath to get through anxiety spiking moments just like this. And I’m not alone: all the cool kids are doing it!

To tackle these capsules, I use both breathwork and a CrossFit trick of breaking the work into more manageable sections (plus I don’t release my glass or walk away).

Easy peasy:

2 very deep quick breaths in, hold for 4-5 seconds, longggggggggg slowwwwwww exhale out.

Take 2 capsules.

Repeat as needed. (keep hold of the glass; keeps ya in the moment).

And, honestly, after 2 sessions of the breathwork and only taking 2/time, I’m soooooo good and focused + energized.
